Like mother like daughter?

Say it isn't so!!!

And of course, she went outside and said hello to the neighbor looking like this. I laughed so hard I almost cried. She was so thrilled when the neighbor said hi and laughed.

Creative, ain't she. She also likes to write and draw/paint/etc - anything artistic.

Interviewed

Hey all! You might remember I mentioned The Bodyguard was book of the week on Ali's blog last week. She gave me a great interview. If you have time I hope you stop over there and check it out. She asked fun questions and I had a great time answering them.

The Interview is here!

Argus: In Dreams - Tina Bendoni

My critique partner and best friend got a great review for her Loose Id novel Argus In Dreams. It was so good I wanna share it:

Argus: In Dreams is an action packed thriller that I couldn't put down. The story flows smoothly and had my attention from the first page. Diana and Gabe are a great pair with the right mojo for love at first sight.

Visit her website to find out more! www.tinabendoni.com

Diana has been dreaming about Gabe's military unit for the last 8
years. She never expected the unit to be real, or to fall in love with
the man that led it.

She also never expected to be told it was her destiny to save the
world. Or that an independent woman like her would need a man to do
the job.

It's a lot for a girl to accept.

But once she does accept it all – demon-fighting commandos, evil
sorcerers, magical female lineage, and damned fine man in her bed –
will the price for the safety of the world be too high to pay?

Luck of the Irish by Aline de Chevigny

Luck of The Irish By Aline de Chevigny
Available Now from Aspen Mountain Press: http://www.aspenmountainpress.com/new-releases/luck-of-the-irish/prod_57.html

Blurb

When Dina’s boss assigns her to review a local family restaurant called Luck of the Irish on St. Patrick’s Day of all days, she isn’t happy. Upon entering the establishment and seeing all the staff dressed as Leprechauns, she expects passable food and annoyingly cheerful service. What she got left her breathless.
Connor had always known what his destiny held in store for him. When the gods finally bestowed their gift upon him, he never expected his destiny to take place in a pair of sea blue eyes. Now, he finally understood why a four leaf clover is considered good luck.

This is a hot, wonderful read. I even read it more than once hehehe :)
Be sure to check this book out :)

A review for The Bodyguard!!

I had to share my wonderful review with everyone :)

Lisa from The Romance Studio gave The Bodyguard 4 hearts!!

This is my first Hasker book, and I must say I was really impressed with her writing style. The dialogue flows smoothly and was full of sensuality that was followed up with some red hot sex. Elena’s fear and insecurity was easily understood and Nicholas was able to express his feelings without loosing any of his alpha characteristics. It was comical how Nicholas let his feelings be known with his brother Nash in the picture. Which brings up the point of whether or not we will get to read a story about Nash? The Bodyguard does feature references of past violence towards Elena as well as anal sex and a ménage scene, both of which were written as a healing point in the story.

Here is the whole review.

Can we all join me in a dance? I have my celtic woman CD blasting LOL

Thursday Thirteen Edition #8

I found this:
NEW YORK (Reuters) - If the typical stay-at-home mother in the United States were paid for her work as a housekeeper, cook and psychologist among other roles, she would earn $138,095 a year, according to research released on Wednesday.

This reflected a 3 percent raise from last year's $134,121, according to Salary.com Inc, Waltham, Massachusetts-based compensation experts.

The 10 jobs listed as comprising a mother's work were housekeeper, cook, day care center teacher, laundry machine operator, van driver, facilities manager, janitor, computer operator, chief executive officer and psychologist, it said.

The typical mother puts in a 92-hour work week, it said, working 40 hours at base pay and 52 hours overtime.

A mother who holds full-time job outside the home would earn an additional $85,939 for the work she does at home, Salary.com.

Last year she would have earned $85,876 for her at-home work, it said.

Salary.com compiled the online responses of 26,000 stay-at-home mothers and 14,000 mothers who also work outside the home.

So here is my TT :)

Thirteen Things about Michelle Hasker
Edition # 8 Things I have to do today

1. Watch for trash and recycle trucks and run and grab the empties before they go out onto the main road and get driven into, or the wind takes them down a block.

2. Clean up doggie and bunny doo, feed dog (Piggy that she is) and the bunny and both turtles and the fish.

3. Wash dishes at least 3 times because 7 people make quite a mess.

4. Laundry. I only have to wash for 6 but it means laundry every day.

5. Already got two kids off to school and the others are home today. Which means double the work ;)

6. Write. I have stories contracted that need to be written, plus I am doing a May Nano with the Daughters of Circe.

7. Softball game and a concert. Gonna have to skip the softball game cause hubby is coaching so he'll be there and I'll go to the concert. One of the kids is gonna miss that dance class tonight.

8. Attend my publisher/author chat if I get home in time.

9. feed the family should be obvious, but sometimes I forget...when I'm writing.

10. Research spell casting.

11. keep checking back here to see if anyone commented and go comment on a million other TT and see what the new people I've met over the past few weeks are up to.

12. clean. gotta find time to do that

13. exercise. when you gain weight, you gotta take it back off. Unless you were underweight to begin with, and trust me, I wasn't.

I had to delete as I have more things to do today as well, but no more room :)

New Release Celtic Love Knots Volume Two

Sheila’s Surrender and Dark God of Beltane – Celtic Love Knots Volume Two
Available May 1 from Whiskey Creek Press Torrid

Two women: different lives, same experiences. Can each face her past to learn if there will ever be a future with the man that left her so long ago?

Sheila and Briana don’t know each other. But each of them met a man and fell in love after one night of unforgettable passion. Both of them were deserted cruelly the next day, never to hear from their loves again. This year they have both been invited to special Beltane celebration. One where a friend is to marry a man that was brought to her thanks to a love potion. Can the magic of that union rub off on these two women? Can Beltane bring about a pair of unions meant to be?

Sheila’s Surrender by Michelle Hasker

Blurb:
Sheila attends her first Beltane festival and meets a man too good to be true. She's been hurt in the past, will Bryant be able to heal her wary heart?

Excerpt:
The hungry look in his eyes was her undoing. No man had ever looked at her with such desire, and she would do anything to keep it there.

“Use whatever you want.”

“Thank you.” He smiled at her and pushed her toward the air mattress. “Lay down and wait for me.”

Sheila obeyed him quickly, hoping that he hurried. She was so ready for him that it terrified her. He was a stranger, and here she was, about to let him tie her up and have his way with her. What if he wanted her in the ass?

She studied him as he dug through her things until he came up with the tie from her robe, and her thin cotton nightgown. What was he going to tie her to? He couldn’t mean to tie her to the tent. She’d bring it down on their heads if she moved.

Bryant studied her for a minute then he walked over and held out his hand. When she hesitated, his expression softened. “Trust me, Sheila. I won’t do anything you don’t want, and nothing that will hurt you.”

“I trust you,” she answered and offered her hands to him.

He took her belt and then used it to tie her wrists together. What was the nightgown for then? He twisted it and covered her eyes with it.

Sheila gasped and automatically lifted her hands to push it away.

“Shhh,” he whispered, pushing her hands down. “This will heighten your other senses and increase your pleasure.”

Increase her pleasure? She already felt as if she’d melt into a puddle and he wanted to increase it?

“Please,” she begged when he finished blindfolding her but still didn’t touch her.

“I love the way you beg.” He pushed her hands above her head.

Bryant kissed her softly on the lips while his hands cupped her face. He moved until she felt his legs on either side of her. Something brushed against her leg and she realized he wasn’t wearing anything under that kilt. Oh my.
