Texas Tea by Maura Anderson

Del Fantasma: Texas Tea
by Maura Anderson
ISBN: 978-1-60168-052-5
Artist: Nikita Gordyn
Aspen Mountain Press

Photographer Lara Saunders has a lifelong secret -- she can see and hear ghosts. When she was rescued from a near drowning by the ghost of a lighthouse keeper, he set her on a mission to document historic lighthouses and the lives of their keepers so they were not forgotten. Now on her third book in the series, Lara has arrived in San Diego to document the Old Point Loma Lighthouse but hasn't counted on becoming the target of Cody Warren, the matchmaking owner of the Del Fantasma bar. Or falling in love with a handsome Park Ranger whose secret is even more strange than her own.

PHEW. I read Texas Tea in one sitting, and let me tell you my kids were not happy with my snapped, Get your own drink. Especially the two year old. This is supposed to be Maura's first venture into fiction. If it is, I have to say, where the hell have you been hiding?

Not only is the story sensual, but the sparks from the characters seems to fly off the page. Matt is one hot hero and Lara is the perfect heroine for him. Not spot in this story drags or disappoints. I can't wait to see what she cooks up next!

Sooo woke my kids up and went out at 5am.

MOUNTAIN RENDEZVOUS

Mountain Rendezvous, the second in my Rendezvous series released today!!

Title: Mountain Rendezvous
ISBN: 978-1-59632-531-9

Author: Michelle Hasker
Cover Artist: April Martinez
Price: $5.99

Previous Book: Midnight Rendezvous
Genre: Erotic Vampire Paranormal Suspense
Length: Novel

What's a vampire to do when the husband she killed is back, and killing women who
look just like her? Banging the hot human cop on the case probably isn't the best plan but, somehow, Meredith just can't stop.

Meredith's ex-husband was a serial killer. Was, because she killed him. Or, at least, she thought she did. But now hunky Federal Agent Slade Jackson tells her he's back and killing women who look just like her.

What's a vampire to do?

Probably banging the human agent on the case isn't the best plan. But he's smoking hot, he wants her, she wants him and she just can't seem to stop. They both better hope it doesn't interfere with the case, or she'll be screwed.

And not in the good way.

Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Violence.

Bunny Love's First Review!!

Tanya from Joyfully Reviewed read Bunny Love and called it a Super Spicy Read. Thanks so much for taking the tim eto read my story Tanya!!

Bunny Love was a super spicy read. I love how the character while camping must have the comforts of home. I still wonder why Blade is wearing a kilt and how the bunny made out. I also wish the author talked a little more about the retreat that Tambra was on. I think the author did a wonderful job in writing the thoughts and needs of the characters as well as setting the sensual scenes up. Bunny Love is hot and quick read.

Thursday Thirteen # 11

Thirteen Things about MCHELLE HASKER
Thirteen things to put in a snow day box

I know, there is no snow yet but really you should be prepared. *evil grin oh and a dollar store is a great place to get all these supplies!

1.A new box of crayons or markers and coloring books. (something they've not colored in before so it is new and they want it.)

2.A new DVD or VHS tape and box of popcorn. Or bag if you like air popped. (again something they've never seen so they will watch it, maybe twice or more. ;)

3.Play doh - UGH I know, but put out a dollar store table cloth or shower curtain on the floor/table and roll it all up and trash when done. LOL

4.Hair and nail stuff for girls. Poster board and tissue paper for boys to make a battleground for their fave toys.

5.Cake mix and icing or brownies. Bake something with the little ones then everyone gets a nice treat. (By keeping this and the popcorn in the box you keep set aside for a snow day, you are garunteed not to use it and then have bare cupboards. ;)

6.Pencils and puzzle books. (Even younger children will do mazes/play tic tac toe, the box game, etc.)

7.scraps and odds and ends. A few candid photos and scrapbook paper with scissors and glue stick. Let the kids make some homemade scrapbooks. (For their sake it doesn't even need to be expensive acid free items as they are likely to tack it up on the wall or take to school to show off. Let them have fun not make it to keep forever.)

8.Beads and pipe cleaners or string for girls to make jewelry. Popsicle sticks for boys to create 'things'.

9.Toilet paper rolls and tissue paper - color the roll and decorate with tissue paper, attach string and hang your 'wind sock'.

10.Party items like hats/blowers, etc for their snow day party (to go with the cake.)

11.Bingo -kids love bingo, even more when they win prizes. You can get a lot of prizes at the dollor store and you can even make your own bingo, or go to crayola dot com and print out their winter bingo. They have pictures on the bingo cards and the children color in the bingo cards as you call the pictures out.

12.Manila file folders. Have children draw a picture or tear a page from a magazine for them to glue on the folder. Cut it into puzzle pieces and put together and share with their siblings and parents. Ziplock bags store the pieces well. ;)

13.Dollar store games. They always have those bowling or giant checkers or golf sets. You can easily find something inexpensive that they can't do too much damage with. Or put in a book of indoor games they can use to decide what they want to play.

kids are driving me nuts

Well, isn't that what they were born to do? I know I gave my mom and stepdad a run for their money :)

Today was my day to post at Torrid Tempations, the Whiskey Creek Press Torrid blog.

Kids like to interupt constantly and actually every one interupts me when I'm in my flow. My husband's friend was over Sunday night and he walked in and started to talk. As I'm typing with my head in my laptop. I tried ignoring him, but he kpet talking so I waved my hand. He kept talking anyway. So I stopped looked at him, took a deep breath and said, "Do you see what I am doing?" waited for him to nod. "I am writing. You cannot interupt me until my muse takes a break." and went back to writing. LOL poor man, but hey I was on a roll!

Thursday Thirteen #10

Thirteen Things MICHELLE HASKER does to procastinate:

1- Check my email. My family email, my friend email, both of author emails, myspace email, the rarely used email I probably spend 3 or more hours a day hitting refresh LOL

2- Wash dishes. Makes me feel like I got a lot of cleaning done, and the sink is close to the laptop. I also wash the top of the stove a lot, even if I've not cooked. Glass tops need lots of cleaning, don't ya know? hehe

3- I'd check my email again, but I already said that, so watching Doctor Who videos at You Tube.

4- Watching tv episodes I've taped for when I have time to watch them.

5- Read. Even if it is the Yahoo! news articles that are on their home page, or a book or ebook.

6- Talk on IM for hours. Play backgammon with Tina since I forget how to play canasta and I'm the one who taught her. *bangs head

7- Yell at kids. It's my new favorite past time, don't you know!

8- Dusting. I've started dusting in order to procastinate. Well, one of my children IS asthmatic so you know I have to keep a clean house...yeah right.

9- Read and reread the story I'm supposed to be working on.

10- Tweak. I can tweak a story to an early grave if I'm bored enough.

11- Play either animal crossing or princess peach. I've beaten Princess Peach once and am on the second time through. I have paid off all my mortgages on Animal Crossing and have the golden statue of me. Needless to say...my kids hate me.

12- I'd check email again, but we've been there, done that. I will go to Yahoo! games to see if there is anything new to play. And if not then I find my sudoku book and get busy solving.

13- Last but NOT least, as I have many ways to procastinate. I clean my bathroom. You could drink out of my toilet on any given day. Not that you want to, but my dog recommends it.

The Perfect Hero by Aline de Chevigny

The Perfect Hero By Aline de Chevigny

Available Now from Red Rose Publications

Blurb:

Experiencing the worst case of writer's block she'd ever faced, Cassandra Daniels feared she'd never finish her novel by deadline. In walked Nicolas Henry making her hopes rise. Will he be the answer to her Hero problems?

Or the end of her career and hope that true love actually exists.

This was an enjoyable read. And the heroine's name is the same as my daughter :)
Wouldn't we all like a hero like this one?

Blah

things are still blah for me. The daily headaches don't help.
But rather than turn this into a whining post.
Kim has gotten me hooked on Doctor Who now. Course I can't wait for The Master to appear :)
The good news- I'm all caught up on my tv shows now.
The bad news - I still don't want to write. LOL

So I'll prolly keep playing with a new website I have in mind. I can't decide if I like the new one or the old one better, but I have another book releasing August 21st and then a book in September, and a book in December. The list goes on, but my thinking is that I won't have enough room at the top of my home page.

And since it is something writing related ;) It doesn't count as goofing off.
